“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. “Psalms 139:14
Oftentimes we tend to think well of others but fail to believe a good report regarding oneself. The reasons vary from person to person, sometimes it’s the lack of praise or the constant receipt of criticism as a child. For others, it could be the failure to recognize one’s own strengths or just low self esteem. Regardless the reason, God desires of each of us to have a proper assessment of ourselves.
Even in the midst of negative reports due to past mistakes, we must choose to think the thoughts of God says about us. He calls us His beloved, fearful and wonderfully made and His workmanship. In order to maintain good thoughts about oneself, it may require stepping back from activities and even people in opposition of a healthy vision of you. Each day, perhaps every moment of the day, choose to think well of you, the original created in the image of God.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”Ephesians 2:10
