Virtuous Thoughts

“Finally, brethren, … if there be any virtue, …think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

Virtue is associated with what is morally good. When you think of something being morally good in a sense it’s a behavior that adds value to the one who possess it. Therefore, it’s not hard to conclude virtuous thoughts enhance our very being. As we think virtuous thoughts, they positively influence what we say and what we do. Its benefits are experienced as we endeavor to continuously host these thoughts in the our minds, oppose to thoughts that devalue our very essence. Keeping our minds on what’s morally good is a defense against the thoughts that will deplete us from within.
