Thoughts that Lead to Great Peace

“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” Psalm 119:165

It has been documented that anxiety is a normal apart of life. The sinking feeling that comes upon you just before entering an interview. A faster heart beat when experiencing an unexpected fearful occurrence. Like me, the past couple of weeks, I’m been anxious regarding a work related task. Surfing the internet, I came across the 3-minute anxiety test link below. On a scale scale from 0 to 21, ranging from minimal to severe anxiety, I scored 5, the beginning of mild anxiety.

Although anxiety is consider to be a normal part of life, it does not have to be about of your life nor my life. Psalm 119:165 provides us the insight to be completely secure no matter the season of life. It having a love for the Word of God. What we love has a way of dominating our thoughts. Loving God’s teachings is expressed by keeping His Word at the forefront of our minds. Because of our human frame, we may momentarily stray from the position of loving His Word but we only have to refocus our thoughts, which characterizes my recent experience of anxiety. The remembrance of the unbelievable peace during the thoughts of not to let my heart be troubled (John 14:1), not be anxious (Matt. 6:34) and I can do all things with Christ (Phil 4:13) drew me back to the place of loving His Word. With great peace from loving God’s Word within our possession, nothing is able to draw us into being anxious.
