“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” Colossians 3:15
The majority of world defines peace as quietness and silence. For the most part, this type of peace can only be obtained in a place of solitude. Moreover, the world seeks peace outwardly, rarely is it sought inwardly. Worldly peace is fleeting and short lived.
On the other hand, the peace from God is beyond human comprehension. It can be experienced in the rumblings of the day as well as the stillness of the night. The strength of God’s peace is an inner work to be embraced. When we aspire to allow our thoughts to be saturated with the peace of God, difficulties and disappoints loose their effective on our outlook. Thoughts of God’s peace equips and aids us to be thankful even in the midst of the darkest storms.
