Let’s ponder what the world be like if everyone consciously considered if their actions were honorable unto God, from life changing to minute actions. If the action was found not honorable before God, it was avoided and never entertained again. Before consuming the second piece of cake, we stop and consider how will God be highly esteemed if the indulgence of a second helping of sugar takes place. In 2020, over 1.49 trillion U.S. dollar was the size of the global market for alcoholic beverages, which declined by around 200 billion dollars in comparison to 2019 (www. statista.com). If honoring God was the standard, what would be the size of this market or would the concept of binge drinking even exist? As we look at the state of the world today, it’s evident honoring God in our actions was not a priority.
Thoughts the honor God are born out of our love for God. God’s love makes our hearts pliable to not only receive his love but also express love towards others. The more we come into the realization of how much God loves us, our love for God increases (1 John 4:19). As our love increases for God, our thoughts to honor Him in every area of life grows.
