“When I think of you as I lie on my bed, I meditate on you during the night watches” Psalm 63:6
In the quietest of the night, thoughts during the day come to make the final attempt to rest in our minds. Those that succeed are the first to come to mind when we awake for the new day. Our first thoughts tend to set the tone for the day. Depending on the first thoughts, the day can have a good start with clear next steps or a bad beginning with a muddled view of the day ahead. In essence, the first thoughts of a new day are determined by the last thoughts of the previous night.
The night hours allow us to regroup from the day through meditating on the One who loves us best. We are refreshed when we fill our minds with thoughts of God … His mercy, His goodness, His grace and His comfort. Despite the circumstances of day, whether peaceful or hectic, pondering on God and His Word helps us to reset for the dawn of a new day

“When we enter the night hours with God on our mind, we position are first thoughts to be filled with Him.”_ASA
