“Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11
Two scenarios are born out of the gesture of treasuring something or someone. In one scenario, two primary occurrences take place when we treasured something or someone. First, a declaration of value is placed upon the intended to be treasure. Second, actions are taken to protect what is precious to us. In the other scenario, in which of a tangle item is esteemed, people tend to store up or collect for use in the future what we deemed as valuable.
As we to come realize and understand the value of God’s Word upon our lives, it behooves us to take steps to embrace His Word closer. Meditation and memorization of God’s Word aids us in storing the Word in our hearts. Daily meditation expresses the declaration as well as secures proper thinking towards God’s Word. Through scripture memorization, each individual collects verses and passages uniquely to impact and supports his or her life. Treasuring God’s Word provides us with tools to live life according to the will of God.
