“Trust in Him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah" Psalm 62:8

God never intended for us to walk though life alone. Throughout the bible, we find highlights of the value of communion among others such as “a friend closer than a brother”, “the two became one flesh” and “how can two walk together except they agree”. Some of us are fortunate to have had the blessing of God loving us through another. Even though this may not yet be our experience, we all have the privilege of going directly to God for ourselves.
God awaits for us to empty ourselves before Him. In the darkness of the day or in the pain of the night, God desires that we confidently pour out our hearts to Him, knowing He cares about all things on our personal radars. Take the leap of faith and open yourself wholeheartedly to God, trade sorrow for joy, trade pain for comfort and trade worries for peace. As we earnestly trust God in all our moments, we’ll realize the He is a refuge from the storms of life.
