Be Strong and Courageous

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Life is filled with occurrences that are intended to derail us from our destiny. Some are as minute as a criticism from a coworker or significant as the loss of a close love one. Neither incident was expected but each one sparks feelings of fear and/or discouragement. How we respond to unpleasant events will determine the outcome of our lives.

In the midst of dismays, the scripture, Joshua 1:9, greatly emphasizes the need to be vigorous and brave. When we operate from the opposite side, weak and dishearten, we lack the strength to move forward in spite of the disappointments, we will inevitably encounter throughout life’s journey. In order to activated a strength powerful that exceeds our own, we must acknowledge that God is always with us and continuously summon this thought to our minds. Particularly, in the life’s low moments, the assurance of God’s ever-present breeds a hope that materialize in strength and courageous.

we can go through life courageously”_ASA
