“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” Psalm 32:8

As a disciple of Jesus, our earnest desire ought to be guided by God. Besides accepting the gift of salvation, I propose the wisest decision we could ever make is to live surrendered lives within the will of God. Choosing every moment to be “all in”, which includes major and minor life decisions, nothing withheld from the influence of God. Although God’s guidance is ready available, we must seek it out on a regularly basis throughout the day. As we endeavor to become close to God, He will comes to us (James 4:8). The desire for closeness to God is only the beginning, the first step. We must employ actions to cultivate spiritual disciplines to accomplish what is desired. There is no other way, genuine desire is always followed by strategic efforts to bring about what is desired into realization. I encourage you to commence with baby steps. At the start of the day, decisively choose to enter His presence, laying your plans at the feet of God with a mindset to yield to any and all changes He choses. One step at a time, even when we fall short, a persistency to be led by God keeps us coming back into His presence. Within the wisdom of Psalm 32:8, it reveals the process of being guided by the eye of God.
Affirm within your inner man that God never asks us to become someone or do something without providing the training or tools required for the manifestation of His will. He meticulously teaches us how to develop skills and traits found in His children to accomplish what He has advised. Under God’s tutelage, we obtained whatever is essential for the journey ahead, even if it is in seed form. Through application of what is given, we are strengthen and empowered to overcome and live a victorious lives. Although from the world’s viewpoint may dictate a loss has occurred, from God’s perspective we have won (Mark 8:36, 1 John 2:15–17).
The narrative, “Guide with His eye”, implies God watches over what has been imparted by way of His advice and lessons. He doesn’t leave us on our own. He observes attentively over us to bring about His will as we journey with Him through life. We are never without God. During the times we don’t sense Him near, could it be we have allowed ourselves to be distracted from keeping our eyes on God? The good news is we only have to whisper the name of Jesus to regain our focus on the One who will never leaves us or forsakes us (Matthew 20:18-20). The decision to be led by God is a decision which assures us a final resting place in God’s presence.
“Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.” Psalms 73:23-24

“Though the view of road ahead is covered with the fog of uncertainty, those who are guided by God have nothing to fear, for nothing is hidden from One who watches over them.”_ASA
