Rise Up

TELL GOD WHERE IT HURTS…
“Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.”
John 5:8

“Rise” was not only the command to physically to rise up but also the man’s expectations had to rise before his body move. Despite the obstacles, he had to rise up in faith by alternating his thoughts from pessimistic to optimistic, filling them with hope. We too must rise up in our minds and spirits to obtain God’s healing in every area of our lives. It begins by simply believing unwaveringly that God can heal all and any woes we possess.

“Take up thy bed”- For thirty-eight years, the man’s bed has been a crutch, an object he employed to make a hurtful situation comfortable. This command is to remove what has been a hindrance to healing. Notice, this is something we all have to do to obtain healing. Each of us have to arrive at the point of decision that we choose to no longer linger or dwell in spaces physically, mentally or financially which slowly strips us of what is necessary to walk in God’s destiny for ourselves.

“Walk “- The term here not only indicates a moment of the legs, it also implies how one should live. Hurtful circumstances hold us in a prison constraining us from living the abundant life God intended for you and to enjoy. The healing is maintained and nurtured by living in the presence of God according to His Word.

In order to get heal, we must first RISE, raise up our expectations required to be healed. Second, we must “take up our bed” or remove the crutches the allows for hurtful circumstances to continue to exist, Lastly, we must walk into God’s purpose for our lives and continue to walk the remainder of our days. As we walk out out God’s intended purpose, the healing receive continuously fades the effects of any hurt and its power is diminished in our lives.

The recognition of our limitedness to bring about healing in our lives is the first step on the road to becoming whole. The next step is taking on a mindset to release the source of ailing into the capable hands of God. Thus, we move to admitting the existence of weakness and trusting the One who is can change the circumstance. When we continue to ignore the deficit in our ability, we keep the door close to experiencing the healing(s) God desires to freely give us. Yes, the Heavenly Father wants you to be healed, made whole in every area of your life … spirit, mind, body, relationships, finance … and the list goes on. Wherever and in whatever, God wants you made whole.

“Like faith, without works healing is futile.”_ASA
